Date-Sweetened Recipes to Treat Dad Like a King!

10 Minute Chocolate Date Truffles


Ingredients

  • 1 cup of date paste

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1 Tbsp date syrup

  • 1/4 cup nut butter such as cashew or peanut butter

  • pinch of sea salt

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.

  2. Form the mixture into balls and roll into a small amount of cacao powder or topping of choice.

  3. Transfer to parchment paper

  4. Optional: dip finished truffles in melted chocolate of choice and set aside until set.

Ingredients

  •  ½ cup date paste

  •  2 tbsp hot water

  • 1 cup coconut flakes

  •  100 grams dark chocolate (or ½ cup chocolate chips)

Directions

  1. Soften your date paste either by (1) microwaving for 30 seconds, (2) leaving it out at room temperature overnight, or (3) using a double boiler.

  2. Put date paste in a bowl or food processor with hot water, and mix until it reaches a thick, wet paste consistency.

  3. Add in coconut flakes and stir until well-combined.

  4. Roll into two-tablespoon balls and place onto a parchment-lined cooking sheet. Flatten the balls, then poke holes in their centers.

  5. Freeze for thirty minutes to an hour while you melt your chocolate. Then, take them out and dip the bottoms of each cookie in chocolate.

  6. Drizzle more chocolate on top, and place in the freezer for another thirty minutes.

  7. Serve immediately and die of happiness!

Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter

  • 2 eggs

  • ¾ cup date syrup

  • 3 Tbsp coconut flour

  • 1¼ tsp cream of tartar

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ¼ tsp sea salt

Directions

  1. Mix first three ingredients together until blended through.

  2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.

  3. Roll into 1-inch balls and then press with a fork until they have peanut butter cookie appeal! Bake for 9 minutes at 350°F.

Homemade Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Eggs

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup of creamy peanut butter(no sugar added)

  • 1 Tbsp date syrup

  • 2 Tbsp date sugar

  • 3/4 cup of chocolate chips

  • Sea salt to taste

Directions

  1. Mix peanut butter, date syrup and date sugar together.

  2. Form the mixture into egg shapes and flatten the top.

  3. Place in fridge for 10 minutes before dipping into the melted chocolate.

  4. Melt chocolate over low heat and remove just before chips have lost their form. (You don't want to over cook the chocolate.)

  5. Dip the peanut egg into the chocolate and coat all sides. Place on wax or parchment paper until set.

  6. While chocolate is still soft, sprinkle Maldon sea salt on the top.
